Pediatric Dentistry
Every dentist knows that whatever they say to the child patient in the first examination, he or she will approach us with fear. This will be overcome in our next appointments with a set of behavioral orientations. Every child coming to you will intrinsically watch and listen to you with fearful eyes because they don't know what you will do to him or her. At this stage, the words selection before talking is important. The children should be informed by the family about positive examinations they lived before the visit dentist. Rather than lying, use words that are not scaring the child. Dentist and family should talk like children's language; for instance; instead of the needle the sleeping drink, instead of drilling cleaning the tooth with buzz , instead of pulling playing with the tooth , instead of cleaning the teeth tickle the teeth
Some preparations should be made before visiting the dentist. The child should simply brought to the dentist. And , the words that causing to be afraid or pissed off should not be used. Or threating sentences should not be used if they do not accept treatment. In short, sentences that are true but do not lead to anxiety should be established and worked together with the dentists.
